I am curious if anyone out there has created approval in-baskets for internal employees that are not in an actual position of authority. By this I mean, we normally have approvers that are within HR, Benefits, Budget etc. One of our current processes is requiring that supervisors (all supervisors) have in-baskets to approve training classes. We have 45,000 employees and I am wondering what the magnitude of that would be if they have to go to a portal page to access their in-baskets? I was told that the web in-baskets is no longer available on 9.0, is that true? Has anyone ever use in-baskets via Manager Self-Service? Any examples would be greatly appreciated, we are trying to figure out the best way possible to do this if at all.

We are on LSF9 - 8.0.3. apps and we use HR pflows to approve position changes, hours changes, pay changes, etc. We have the supervisors approve first (based on whether the new rate, for example, is above the midpoint salary range) and then have the HR Approver have the final say. We use the Portal Inbaskets on LSF9 portal - they get a link to our own Portal in the email which in turn takes them to the Lawson Portal to approve/reject.

If you have ProcessFlow professional, you can use UserActions - All of our supervisors are assigned a task for "PA Approver" (Personnel Action Approver).

      Does that answer your question?

I have set up Inbasket Tasks for non-approvers in order to allow them to review or hold a process until they were ready for it to be processed. They didn't get to Approve or Reject; they would get something like "Release" when they were ready for the flow to complete.

I've installed the HR solutions pf and the wu data in my test system but i still dont see an inbasket. Do i need to add a bookmark in my setup? I can view the new flows delivered from lawson and they look pretty nice. I'm on 9.0 apps/LSF9. Thanks for any help.

You will need to update the WorkFlow flag to 1 by user within Lawson Security in order for the Inbasket to display.
