In S3, we have several processflows that use custom design studio screens, some of which use forms that allow the approver to update values in the flow.  Because we are replacing some of this functionality, I'm trying to replicate that in LPA for LTM.

I was told by the Infor consultant who did our training that we should be able to update the action request via the Landmark node by selecting the action that was used to initiate the process, setting the action request id, selecting CreateUpdateDelete, setting the key fields and then selecting and setting the values for the data I want to change, however, this isn't working for us right now.

I'm hoping someone else out there would have some idea about how this should work.

Short answer is you can't - right now. Lawson is working on developing applets or servlets that will allow you to make calls into the Landmark business classes, but you can't do this now from Design Studio.

The only thing I can think of is to allow the user to make a change on your Inbasket form and then trigger a flow file which will then make those updates in Landmark.

Actually, you can do this in Design Studio.  I have done it using a portal screen and and an embedded form.

So, you're suggesting triggering an action within the action (creating a new action request id) from a different process that would have the new values that the approver added? That's a good idea.  I can try that way.  I was just told it was going to be super simple and we prefer not to generate multiple workunits if it's not necessary.

kw, are you referring to an LTM form, or an S3 form?
Thanks for using the LawsonGuru.com forums!

I opened a case with Global Support because it just didn't make sense to me that this wasn't working as we were instructed.  Turns out, once I updated the LPD to the latest version, I no longer have a problem updating the parameters for the action requests before they gets to the inbasket.

            Thanks again for your responses.
