All - Very new to Lawson/Infor and Landmark technologies. We are implementing Infor Cloudsuite v11 MT for HCM and FSCM. I understand that Infor has removed the SQL Query/SQL Update nodes from IPA for all multi-tenant products.

I was hoping we could build IPAs for Conversions and integrations. What other tools are recommended for these needs? I did not think ISD tool is recommended for Conversions as it does not provide an option for prevalidations prior to the final load into the transaction tables?

For inbound interfaces, we would ideally need something like IPA that would poll on a directory and trigger the process to update data in the transaction tables based on the data file. Also, in case of outbound, extract the data, create a data file in a prefined format, encrypt and SFTP the file.

Thanks for your help!

HS -

 You are correct, no more SQL nodes... That said you can still use IPA and do any pre-validation you need/want you are just limited to Landmark Admin nodes for doing dbimport into the desired business class.

Hi, could you please clarify "no more sql nodes?" We are currently on prem, but every so often the cloud comes up. Are you saying if we go to Cloudsuite HR/Financials/whatever in the cloud as multi tenant, that we will have to use a version of IPD which does not have sql query or txn nodes? We have built flows with IPD that access non-Lawson databases. Would we still be able to do this with the cloud version of IPD? Sorry for the confusion and thanks!

@pbelsky, are your non-Lawson databases cloud-based, or on-premises? If they're on-premises, how could a cloud-based Lawson system access your on-premises, non-Lawson databases?

There is no "cloud". It is just someone else's computer. That said, how many "cloud" providers are there? If a big one suffers a data breach, how secure is your data? I'm not a fan of "the cloud" for that reason, but it is here and we will have to deal with it.
