We are in the process of upgrading from Landmark 9 to Landmark 10.  One of the slightly irritating issues we are having with v10 is that we can't figure out how to designate the Rich Client default prodline for a user.

In our environment, some of us have access to both the GEN and PRODHCM prodlines.  Currently, when we log in to Rich Client we always start out in the GEN prodline, and we have to select PRODHCM from the dropdown.  Yes, this only takes a couple of seconds, but there must be a way to select the default.

Note that designating a default is possible in LMRK 9 by going to Show>>User Context and selecting one of the prodlines for a default, but this option doesn't appear to exist in LMRK10.

Can any of you point us in the right direction?

    Thanks!

Not sure where exactly this is documented, but you need to set up a second set of shortcuts...

Your first set probably looks like this:
      E:\JAVA32\jre32\bin\javaw.exe -jar "lawlaunch.jar" -quick -2 -launch "gen\richclientAdmin.lawspec"
      E:\JAVA32\jre32\bin\javaw.exe -jar "lawlaunch.jar" -quick -2 -launch "gen\richclient.lawspec"

Set up a second set like this:
      E:\JAVA32\jre32\bin\javaw.exe -jar "lawlaunch.jar" -quick -2 -launch "prodhcm\richclientAdmin.lawspec"
      E:\JAVA32\jre32\bin\javaw.exe -jar "lawlaunch.jar" -quick -2 -launch "prodhcm\richclient.lawspec"

If you browse to your landmark environment "canvas" page, e.g.
        http://landmark.example.com:80/canvas/
Do you see the shortcuts for both PRODHCM and GEN there?
Thanks for using the LawsonGuru.com forums!

Thanks John. That did the trick.

I didn't even know that page existed. That's one of the downfalls of Managed Services...sometimes we aren't aware of stuff like this.
