2 Replies and 13082 Views unable to get security context  13082  2 Started by  Deleted User LSF9.0.0.2 on HP-UX with 803 apps. Every so often the users will get the 'user needs to be assigned a security class', and when we try to log into LAUA w/ root, we get 'unable to get security context'. The only thing that solves it is a stop/restart of lawson. Any ideas Thanks in advance, Nicole

1 Replies and 11548 Views Lawson in LPAR  11548  1 Started by  Tim Autry We are entertaining the possibility of running Lawson in an LPAR or on a box with another application and was wondering: 1) Are others already doing this 2) What is your experience if you are already doing this - good, bad or ugly We know Lawson does not support either scenario, but with the ability of today's server's being so powerful, and real estate becoming a premium, the business direction is to capitalize on space by purchasing large powerful servers and running many LPARs...

4 Replies and 12633 Views LDAP in 8.0.3  12633  4 Started by  Deleted User We had LDAP working fine in our 8.0.3 production environment (AIX) for several months, and then started getting intermittent 503 errors (Server temporarily unavailable). If you try again, there is no error. This can happen when logging in or when accessing a screen. Lawson looked at it and recommended some performance changes. We implemented them all except for moving to ESP6. Our log shows that LDAP has either “timed out” or is “waiting for time out”. We are getting these even with little...

1 Replies and 12100 Views Load Test System on iSeries  12100  1 Started by  Scott Krueger I am just getting back into Lawson after being absent for about three years. I am working on version 8x on a iSeries and we would like to refresh our test environment. In the past we simply took a backup of our LAWDBxF library and restored it to LAWDBFxT. Is this still true with version 8x of Lawson Thanks!

2 Replies and 12213 Views 9.0 db platforms  12213  2 Started by  Roger French Ok, I may be way off target here (or crazy..) but need to ask this question. I won't go into alot of detail but... We're looking at upgrading to sql 2005, and to avoid the huge fees involved, we are considering using MySql as the db platform (yes don't laugh too hard). Is MySql certified or has anyone used it or planning Also, another one... Is Apple's OS10 server usable with 9.0 We're currently on win2k3 with sql 2003. Yes I know, shot in the dark but need ...

ManageEngine's AppManager 6 and ServerVantage look like the best tools, as far as covering all of the areas needed. What monitoring software packages are you using Would you recommend it or do you wish for something else Thanks!

0 Replies and 12996 Views MSP 11 Installs????  12996  0 Started by  Maris Fisler Anyone gone through the MSP 11 install yet We are considering it instead of MSP 10 which is slated for this month but would like to hear anyones comments or what to look out for. We asked our client rep for some contacts and were told that she could not give us any and to use the forums available, not sure why she is reluctant to give us references this time since she has done it in the passt but oh well. Thanks, Maris Fisler

3 Replies and 13217 Views Masking UserID in LID and Reports  13217  3 Started by  Roger French We've got a small group of users where their UserID includes the last 4 digits of the SSN. (Yes I know, I didn't create the UserID naming convention/policy.) That UserID is appearing on some screens and reports and it presents a security and privacy concern. Is there any way to mask the all or part of the UserID on screens and reports If so is this a big change Thanks in advance, -Roger Apps: 8.0.3.7 OS: Win2003 Env: 8.0.3.6

Specifically, I'm looking for: - How are global and/or 24x7 organizations dealing with having to restart RMI - What versions, ESPs, patches, settings, etc. seem to make it more stable - What software combinations and/or platforms (Tomcat/Apache, Tomcat/IIS, Websphere, etc. etc.) seem to perform the most reliably - If you've suffered from RMI instability, have you...
