Does anyone have any insight about going from environment 9.0.1.9 to 10.x We are preparing to upgrade from environment 9.0.1.9 to 10.x but have to switch from LAUA to Lawson security first. We are currently attempting to implement Lawson Security under 9.0.1.9 but have encountered issues with setting up rules in Lawson Security. We have been told that we need to upgrade to 9.0.1.12 to fix these errors. Going to 9.0.1.12 would be a major project for us which we had not budgeted time or money...

This questions mirrors another posters question about migrating from AIX/DB2 to Windows. We are looking at migrating from Sun Solaris/Oracle to Windows/.SQLServer at the same time we upgrade from 9.0.1.9/LAUA to 10.x/Lawson Security. I saw the responses regarding AIX/DB2 to Windows/SLQServer. Any insight on our move as outlined above BTW: I have another post where Infor told us we cannot upgrade directly from 9.0.1.9 to 10.x.

Hello,      Has anybody come up with a way to use the lpr command in prtdef  We have a report archiving system that we send reports to and the laprint command will not work.  I can run it from the command line without any issue's, but I cannot find a way to set it up in prtdef.  I tried using a script, but it looks like it is not getting the directory that the print file is located it.  Any help or suggestions on this  Thank you.

My user would like to us to create a job that runs nightly, is distributed to two different users, and is a .pdf file by default.  Is there a way to do all of this using recdef I know you can create and distribute the job, I'm just not sure about the file type. Thanks!

Hi all, Since upgrading to Lawson 9.0.1, we've randomly experienced 'Bad File Status 9 035' errors in various Lawson delivered programs.  Looking up the code, it leads to incorrect permissions on the file that was just generated by the program, usually a temporary file. In the past couple of payrolls, we have seen the PR140 job go from taking 20 minutes to run, to now taking almost two hours. There is nothing else going on with the server that could possibly cause a problem. During the run time of the PR140, all other scheduled and manually executed jobs are running fine. We are a unix 5.3 /lsf 9.0.1.8 msp6. Intermittently we have jobs that will get submitted twice. There is no common dominator that we can identify - Meaning custom job or lawson job. It was suggested to run bldibmddl - URI GEN Recurjob  bldibmddl - URI GEN QUEUED JOB and jobinteg -d. For some reason ssoconfig password has stopped working. Tried to initiate the recovery process but smtp server that was setup is not valid as well. Any other thoughts other than trying to restore ldap

Does anyone know how to tell if a CTP will run dbreorg before they run the activate process I have run the preview process and it tells me this is where dbreorg will run, but that does not mean the activate process will actually run dbreorg. This is important to know because on Windows we need to shut down Websphere application servers if dbreorg is going to be run. Of course this means getting everyone out of Lawson.    Thanks in advance for any help.

We are upgrading our LSF9 environment from 9018 to 90111 and have been finding 'undocumented' enhancements for additional LASE security requirements for the IOS Web Services tokens. So far I have had to add access for all CheckLS=YES users for fm_get, fm_save and ios_what to get portal access and employee self service to work. Anyone else experiencing this Infor/Lawson has very little documentation on this subject. Thanks in advance for any insight and or documentation.

Our recdef program has failed to function for the past few days.  If I set up a new recdef job for a user and back date the start date, the job will be run one time but after that the recdef job will not submit it again as it should. Existing recdef jobs appear for a user, but no longer function and the next run date, last run date do not change. We are on an old version of Lawson 7.2.2.7.  Regardless of version, has anyone ever experienced this problem before We bring down the Lawson ...

We have configured LDAP AD LDS behind F5 load balancer and the two AD LDS instance constant sync with each other. When we tried to load new users using loadusers ultility we encountered error and new users won't be loaded. However, if we shutdown one of the AD LDS , load new users without any error.I wonder what could be the cause that load new users won't when two LDAP instant is online. Any help appreciated.

You will run into 'Failed LDAP bind test ... ' error if your ldap server is the same as the application server. They will have to be seperate servers to run 10.0.3.
