Anyone have steps for installing WAS ND 7.0 IE Recommended selections for launchpad.sh. I can't believe Lawson can provide the gz files, but not a single install guide.

I cloned our regular development product line for a testing area for our users.  Every thing seems to be working fine, except that the search box does not return the same results as the original product line.    For instance, when I type 'step' in the seach box in the original product line, I get 6 hits for the word 'step'.   In the new clone, I get 'No programs or bookmarks were found for 'step'. Is there a step that I have missed  I followed my usual procedure for creating product lines...

I'm relatively new to Lawson, but I've been implementing applications for over 15 years. I'm trying to get a better understanding of Lawson (finacial) portal and authentication. Where can I find the ldap functionality and information on how Lawson authentication is configured

Ever since we migrated our environment from 9.0.0.9 to 9.0.1.9 and application from 8.0.1.7 to 9.0.1.9, our users have experienced intermittent slowness or hanging on LID and portal. The LID user will see the hour glass and everything is frozen up. It normally lasts less than a minute and then it works again. We are on AIX 6.1 and Oracle 11g. This types of intermittent hanging has never happened in our old system. Any suggestions willl be highly appreciated!!

Hi.  I have a user that when they add comments to a purchase order via PO20 the comments do get added. After adding comments the user goes back in and the comments don’t show. The user ends up having her supervisor add them. This doesn’t happen all the time only now and then. Any ideas I would appreciate. Thanks.

We're going from 9.0.1.5 to 9.0.1.9.  Our 9.0.1.5 is currently on 1.5 java.  The requirement for 9.0.1.9 is 1.6 java, so we need to upgrade that first. From your experience, what is the easiest way to do this, especially considering there are two javas - java and websphere java

We have a custom program built off of BN106 in our 8.03 system that we need to move to 9.01. I believe the changes are limited to the WS and PD members so I will be making copies of these on the 9.01 side and rolling in the custom code. We installed a new websphere and deployed the ear files, generate/propagate the plugin, but we receive ssoconfig/SSOCfgInfoServlet errors Also, calls to /servlet/What, /servlet/Router, etc, are returning 404, and server.xml configuration files are missing some lawson specific tags that the old server.xml had.  (Just copying the server.xml over does not work) Someone please point me to lawson documentation or some kind of tips on how to make websphere work with lawson from start to finish, ...

Would like to hear any tips anyone has regarding DB2 upgrade on AIX In particular, I want to do the upgrade in-place.  For example, I already have 9.1, and I just want to upgrade it to 9.5 (or 9.7) without installing a second copy of db2 anywhere.  What's the best way to do this  Is it possible I found this on google http://publib.boulder.ibm...ng_db2_95_to_97.html but the DB2 9.1 delivered by lawson doesn't have any db2ckupgrade or db2iupgrade Thanks as always Phil

Has anyone used iTera Echo2 with Lawson Software as their Disaster recovery replicated solution.  We have an off site building and we use this software for our other systems on AS400, but currently are still keeping back ups for our Lawson DR.  Any assitance would be appreciated, thanks.

We have recently installed an LSF 9.0.1.9 Lawson system on an AIX 7.1 server using MS ADAM on a seperate machine. The DB is DB2 and also resides on its own physical machine. The portal seems to run very slow upon initial login to the system and upon drilling / inquiring on data.  Does anyone have any performance tips that may help this situation out.  Thanks in advance.

We are running LSF 9.0.1 on Win 2008 R2 VM server with 8 processors and are working on some performance tuning.  We’ve been monitoring the usage on the server and have noticed that CPU usage is usually around 15-20.  To see if we could improve performance and use less resources, we dropped the server down to 4 processors.  We are not sure if users see any significant increase/decrease in wait times (one usually only hears about the increase waits), but from a monitoring perspective we see that ...

We have upgraded aix 5.3 to 6.1, and are redeploying lawson as per kb 5431593 However, installer gave us a LDAP error: Fatal: [install-sec.pl] RMPARENTDN, o=lwsn,DC=dfkcorp,DC=com, cannot be found on your ldap server And now we can't start lawson. We have been encountering login failure on LID . We are on 803 on Sun. Users see the Login error 'Could not open screen' message.
