We have been on LSF9 for a while now and are looking into moving our users from LID to Portal. We are a Windows shop and have LSF9 bound to AD. All of our employees including our Lawson application users use ESS/MSS as well. Some access ESS from workstations logged into Windows with generic account and some access ESS from their individual windows accounts. We also expire user Windows account passwords on a regular basis. I installed Lawson Core 9.0.7 on a HPUX server along with the lawsec.ear, BPM.ear, and IOS.ear(WebSphere6.1). I setup a virtual host and was able to test out the snoop servlet then uninstalled the application. When I try the smoke test sso/SSOservlet or the SysEnv test I get the following errors. Hi has anyone had any issues with the new MOA download from Lawson. When I install onto a new pc or rebuilt one (eitehr windows 7 or xp, office 2010 or 2003) - we get a login error when trying to run our pre-built excel upload spreadsheets. Has anyone upgraded to  LSF 9.0.1 ESP 9  If so, were there drastic changes that you had to make to ags calls and dme calls within Processflows  How difficult was the upgrade process  We are at LSF 901 ESP 5, WAS 6.1 (fixpack 33), use Processflow and Design Studio and Portal on a Windows 2003 platform currently.

Here's the situation and requirement: Need to schedule a script for the Wednesday following the last Friday of a month. It would take a whole lot of extra logic in the script, correct For example:  The last Friday of Jan this year was the 27th.... so the Wed following it would be Feb 1st. But, the last Friday of Feb this year was the 24th... so the Wed following it would be Feb 29th. How would I most easily accommodate this in my scheduling.

We found that if we turn hints off most batch jobs run much faster (30 to 60). However this can only be done at a global level; meaning the parameter is in the ORACLE file and not in a program config file. The parameters is 'USEHINTS=FALS'.  Our DBA says that this is safe to do because Oracle is better at determining what access path is best to retrieve data for Lawson that Lawson hints. We recently started experiencing an issue where Lawson is not releasing stale application run units. This occaisionally results in situations where we exceed our licensing limit which is very fustrating for our users. Tmmon shows the stale programs in the client process list (IE 10 HR11 instances when we only have 2 people in it). I am going to copy our Production Productline to our Test Productline. We are on Windows LSF9 with SQL Database. I have looked at Lawson's AMT procedure for Copying the Productline. This looks straight foward, but I have a couple of questions. 1. I would like a better understanding on where the GEN database resides. Our RDBMS is SQL Server 2008. I couldn't find a clear answer on the knowledge base and was hoping somebody out here could help. I wanted to find out where to get the parameters from the LP140 screen/program. This critical notice dated 3/31/2012 is stating that as of 3/31/2012 (short notice- if you ask me!!) if your ESP is more than one back, you will not be able to use the regulatory updates. We rely on the year end updates for W2's and 1099's. I am trying to read records from empserv where emp = XXX. I am getting back all the records including for employees other than the I put in the primary key. Ladies and gentlemen, I have run into an issue.  I am currently running Lawson 9 on windows 2008 R2, sql server 2008 R2, all on vmware 5.  The problem is happening when we added a 2nd nic to perform backups on our NAS vlan(network).  if you are using the db server, web, and app(lsf) server you do not have a problem from a basic functional level.  This issue is when you try using lbi or lbp.  the products can not find port 40000 on the app(lsf) server.  when i do a netstat the port is binding ...

We are setting up our new Ricoh Printers in Lawson.  Accoridng to Ricoh, The new printers require that we specify the paper type, so a sample print command is:  laprint -p 'Letter (8.5''' x 11''')' \\loki\payprt.  That works because it is only 50 characters, but we need to specify font size and orientation which would bring it over 50 characters.  We tried a .bat file per KB 127196 but but it did not work for the Ricoh printer, possibly because it did not like the triple quote syntax.  The t...

windows 2003, sql 2005, still LAUA, We are trying to prevent users from accessing the command line. We found a small 'hole' in our setup. When we setup a new user, use their AD login information and login to LID (interface desktop)  -they go to a command prompt. 1.
