Lawson is working on a patch to eliminate the use of underscore in RM ID in LSA when we create a Lawson user id - even now it wont accept the underscore when you type it but you can copy and paste the ID's with underscore. This is going to impact the customers who are using underscore(_) on their user id's. Hi, We need to redo our ldap bind. The original bind was done as the lawson user which is not recommended. We need to change our lawson user password but can't until the bind is redone using a different user. I know lawson does not support clients doing their own ldapbind, but my understanding is that it is not very difficult. To those of you who have done it, are there any gotchyas I should be concerned with Is it difficult to revert to the original bind if necessary

In Portal, when I click the Lawterminal Bookmark I get a string of numbers on my screen,and I have to press the Enter Key in order to get the operating system prompt. My Portal Bookmark is defined as:  utility/lawterminal.htmservice=LAWTEST90&command=LawTerminal.bat Inside my LawTerminal.bat Batch file, I've been trying to echo a carriage return without success. After our backup domain controller was taken ofline we are unable to log into Portal. We are running LSF 9.004 and are bound to LDAP via ADAM. We have multiple endpoints and SSO is configured for https for login only. LDAPBIND reports we are pointing to our primary domain controller which is online. Windows and Lid login authentication works fine. Obviously something is still pointing at our backup DC. Anyone know where else we might look

We're looking at upgrading our hardware from a HP-UX box thats hitting EOL to a AIX 6.1 box.  We'll be upgrading from LSF 9.006 to 9.0.1.5 (or higher).  We're leaning towards leaving the Apps on 9.0.0.5 or upgrading to 9.0.0.7, we don't really want to go through the additional pain of upgrading to 9.0.1 apps at the same time.   We also have a LBI server on 9.0.3.0 that we plan on leaving alone unless we have to upgrade.  Anyone gone through a similar upgrade or made the switch to new hardware a...

Our environment is 9.0.0.8 AIX and we have a new ADAM server that we need to migrate to as soon a possible due to performance issues with updates from the security client.  Our network team is having difficulty using the Windows backup from our test instance to restore to the new instance.  I'm not sure of the details, but they have asked me to check with the community to see if anyone has migrated to a new ADAM server.  Has anyone been through this  Thanks in advance. For security reasons I'm trying to hide certain xml tags in Portal, so for example when there is an error within Portal, what happens is that for some errors, the entire browser screen will display [CCDATA] tags with directory and file information.  We want to be able to hid these type of tags. We've been having mutiple users' screens freeze up in both AR and PO. They have to log off and back in to continue. I've reproduced the problem myself. For example PO20, PO30, RQ10, AR20, AR30... hangs up in po30.1 while receiving; hangs up whenever changing screens; when trying to release receiver; also happens when paging up & down.  hangs up at different stages, not always the same places.   Please help - the users have been having a terrible time. I need to replace a web server that has an ADAM instance on it.  The new server has IIS, WAS plugin, Portal, and an ADAM instance (set up as a replicating instance) installed on it.  Now, how do I get rid of the original ADAM and have lawson use the new one.  If I stop the original ADAM instance, lawson does not start.  Can anyone help me with this
