We just recently started having a problem shutting down Lawson as part of our backup procedures we are getting this message  'ProcessFlow Server stop request sent to Event Manager Waiting for all the Workunits in progress to complete..........................................' Why would account created on a domain controller in the same Active Directory domain, but separate AD site not show up in LID  This does not happen all of the time.  The user is set with Check LS no, and is able to access the portal and navigate, but does not show up in lid. The username is only 17 characters long, including the domain and /. I have attempted laua -a at the command line also. any help would be great.

Running windows, SQl 2005 - has anyone encrypted their Lawson PROD SQL database

All online screens are hanging in LID and Portal. Such as HR00, CU01, etc. I can do a drop down on fields and drill around, but when inquiring, changing or adding a record, the screen hangs (hourglassing). This happens in the application productline and LOGAN for any screen. Batch jobs do work ok and no problems there. I *can* do rngdbdump's no problems. Has anyone else been having persistant problems with permsmaint  The lastest one (verified by Lawson) is a problem where lines in ladirs.cfg with an asterisk are completely ignored, e.g. $LADBDIR/sec/* 666 lawson lawson But I've had other problems as well.  I'm considering writing a replacement because Lawson's utility has never seemed to work right for me.  We end up doing chmod 777's to get around problems but that hardly seems like a best practice.

Hi I am a Java programmer and have written Java programs to query values from the LDAP (tivoli).  I now want to update several users email addresses in the LDAP. Getting this error in Portal when attempting to change any value on any form within Portal, with any user. This is on windows. LSF9. Java 1.4.2  The error also happens when trying to inquire on existing jobs parameter screens within portal. Inquire works fine ok no problems on online forms. I'm running the UG99 programs to upgrade from 8.1 to 9.0 apps. Windows env.LSF9.0.03 with 9.0 apps.   The UG95 is supposed to give the counts of unloaded/loaded. I see the UG990's ran to completion and there were of course records copied, but I don't see the counts listing on the UG95. The tables show, and the job logs show but the counts are not appearing.. they are blank. I have tried to rerun the jobs and still no counts. Am I missing something here Thanks, Roger

Could someone please point me to some docs on setting up SSO using AD. We've done our upgrade from 7.2 to 9.0. We didn't do the SSO with AD during the upgrade, but we'd like to do it now. I couldn't find any docs on Lawson Support that describe the process. thanks.

Since migrating from Env 8.03 to LSF 9.004 our LID users are reporting intermittent performance issues and brief hang-ups when switching screens and reviewing jobs results. Using RMConvert, trying to convert Rm data from logan 803 to logan 90 I copied the logan803 dictioinary from source 803 environment to 90 target environment. Copied the logan MICROSOFT file from 803 system to LAWDIR\logan803. The MICROSOFT file points to the DB server of the 803 database server, not the 90 db server. I am trying to import job definations (appx 22,000) across environment and running the command  jobload -l alljobs.out  to check for any errors. I would like to query MS ADAM and export a list of fields. I'd like to start with exporting the username and email address of all users. Can anyone give me a jumpstart here. I can query using the LDAP browser tool, JExplorer without any problems. I have seen some examples using an LDAP query in vbscript which outputs to a text file, but I am unsure how to get something like this done in MS ADAM. Has anyone enabled their employee expense bookmarks in EMSS.   We are on 8.03 ISeries and use employee SEA for open enrollment, life events, time cards, etc.  We would like to look at using employee expense for our expense reports.  I have searched KB and Lawson websites and can not find any how tos, no idea what bookmarks to enable, does Lawson provide and expense 'form' etc.  We do not have AP, but I believe I read somewhere you could feed the expense reports directly into Payroll.  Any help ...

I am quite new to being a Law Sys Admin and was wondering how painful/painfree it was to migrate from an existing domain into a new domain as my organization is splitting away from the parent company.
