My customer's SQL database for GEN/LOGAN and app database was moved from one server to another. So, I had to repoint all of Lawson to the new database server using the CAP file (MICROSOFT) in LAWDIR/GEN and LAWDIR/LOGAN. Have an issue on WebSphere 6.1.017 (patches applied), where the web server (called webserver1) is not running (yes I've refreshed the status0> Also the Start button is greyed out. I want to export my Lawson prod DB 2-3 times per week then copy and import the file into a Disaster Recovery productline server at a different site. I'm told Lawson LID doesn't support this type of automation. I'm using the command: expsysdb -s ProdlineName to-filename.bak When I tried the command from DOS prompt I get a security error. Trying to find out if anyone's configured SSO so that *some* users have the option to Change Password in Portal and some do not. I enabled password change in ssoconfig and it appears in portal for all users. But I received a request to allow it only for some users and not others. We're in the midst of upgrading to LSF 9.  When we use LID to log into our test server, we're unable to make a connection.  The only thing that we get on the screen is a blinking cursor.  In talking with our network team, we did a netstat -nao on the LID port number and found a PID assoicated with the port.  For some reason though, it appears that PID died unexpectedly and didn't release that port.  The port is blocked by a process that is in a CLOSE_WAIT status.  Is there a way to reestablish t...

we are on IBm websphere adn win 2003 server (sql 2005) Anyone have any issues stopping these services / when I try to stop websphere it times out It shows as stopped, then we try to stop lawson adn it also times out.   We also have issue of webspere starting before lawson - although websphere is dependant on lawson service   Wierd.

We have several custom programs and one (a copy of HR11) never recompiles when we do a cobcmp. Per John's tip in the Feb 2008 Guru newsletter I found that the In Production flag was set to N in PGMDEF. When I try to change it to NT it will not change. It's not a huge deal, I just recompile it manually, but has anyone seen this behavior in PGMDEF before

Trying to find out if anyone has successfully set up and uses multiple requester id's linked/attached to one single log on for RSS. We've got several users who order for different departments, etc, and they have multiple requester id's in RQ04. But, we want them to have one single log on ID when logging in to use Portal RSS. After the upgrade to LSF9 by the installer, I noticed the online ED (EDI) screens don't have any of the drop downs. Example: ED10 doesn't have the drop down on EDI number, carrier, etc. Nor does ED02.  Happens in LID and portal. Trying to delete a service in ssoconfig . It has many identities attached to it. I select the option to remove all of the identities with the service, which is what I want. The repsponse echoed from the screen looks like a very long java error and I can't see diagnose what the complete error is because of the scrolling on the screen. Is or does anyone else using/use the Priviliged Identity in 9.0 for Self-Service users Since (for example) RSS needs the RQ111, using the Priviliged Identity won't work since a unique environment/os id is needed to run batch jobs. Maybe for ESS it could be used -Roger
