ssoconfig export

Started By  Roger French
Trying to use the export command within ssoconfig to export identities (over 700) for a service we've created. Well I put in all of the parameters for the export and the export xml file is created. But, there are only about 300 records in the exported file. What happened to the other several hundred  I've ran the command several times just to make sure and still the same result. Anyone have a clue why not all of the records in RM are being exported ssoconfig version 9.0.0.3.363   Thanks, ...

Process flow not starting

Started By  scott.mullins
Hi, we're still using 8.0.3.   On our secondary server (AIX) when trying to start Process Flow, we're receiving some funky errors. Doesn't seem to matter which piece we start. For example, when I try to start up the em with servers.pl script, I get the following error...... The java class could not be loaded. java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError Has anybody ever seen this error before or have an idea on how to resolve it Knowledge Base on the Lawson Support site did not help on thi...

Self Service problem on LSF9

Started By  Joe O'Toole
We had both V 8 and V 9 of ESS working on our test box running LSF 9.01. We had to reinstall LSF reverting back to 9.004 because of 9.01's incompatibility with our 8.03 apps. Since the reinstall of LSF back to 9.004 the ESS screens have stopped working. The portal menu and bookmarks are there, but when anything is selected, the status bar just says Done. The individual ESS htm screens will display if launched directly in a browser, but it looks like the JS is not running the pages properly from ...

I tried to debug the issue  and found the system hangs when trying to execute the APISET3 NLT command.we are unable to find out the issue. redeploy websphere

Started By  Roger French
Can someone confirm or deny or otherwise make a comment If I want to make any changes to existing portal code, for example to fix a problem with an RSS .htm file, after I make the change, I've got to go through the entire websphere redeployment steps. Is this correct The change I've got to make is to fix a problem with a Lawson-delivered displayexec for RSS inbaskets. This is for LSF9. -Rog

LDAP Bind issue

Started By  Joe O'Toole
After performing our LDAP bind for our LSF9 system, certain users are failing the smoketest (most importantly the Lawson account). Some of our Windows accounts including Lawson are quite old and were migrated into AD from our old NT user repository. It seems that the newer accounts smoketest ok so we're wondering if this is the common denominator. Has anyone experienced this and could there be some indexing issue with the older records that is causing the authentication / AD lookup request to fa...

inbasket installation

Anyone know what product download actually installs the processflow inbaskets for RSS Is it the LSF 9.0 Core download The Processflow solutions (Procurement) download Or the RSS product itself The installer apparently did not install or did not correctly install the inbasket code for RSS inbaskets. First of all the display execs were missing, now alot of the html's are missing and all of the image files are missing. The installer is in another country and very difficult to get ahold of. S...

Mass Change of data area

Started By  Deleted User
What is the easiest way to change users default data area. We are upgrading apps this weekend and the data area will change from Prod803 to Prod903, is there and easy way to assign prod903 to all users security. we are still using LAUA for security. I have tested the 'mass assignment' function - which seems to work, but when a user logs into portal - the default data area for that user shows LOGAN. When i check in LS, it is showing data area of Prod903. Is there another method to change the d...

Configure multiple servers for ldapbind

Started By  Shasidhar Vemireddy
We are on LCT 9.0.0.3, on SOLARIS 10. We are still on 803 Apps.  Lawson resource data is in IBM tivoli LDAP and  are currently bound (using ldapbind) to our AD server for password authentication. However now we are in process of  'fine' tuning the product to work seamlessly with our other systems. We actually have a primary and seconday AD server so in the event if primary crashes or is taken down the secondary server is online, but due to the fact that only one server can be configured via ldap...

Copying Production to test in VMWare issue.

Started By  Deleted User
Greetings all! I have a question regarding what I'm over-looking in this scenario below: I copied my physical Lawson 8.0.3.7 server into a VMware virtual machine for testing purposes. At first everything, but net express 4.0, seemed to work. I can get into the portal and all looks well, but when I do any real searches like, web user, pr130, or anything it takes me to the next page, but eventually I get a long long processing Inquiry message at the bottom of the page and then this error: Er...

Server Sizing on LSF9

Started By  Deleted User
We did a server sizing with Lawson. Lawson came back with a proposed server sizing for use with IBM hardware(we do use IBM here). On the application server it came back with a 8 socket 16 processer box. We were pricing this out and it seems excessive(About 43K). We are currently running on a quad box with 3Ghz CPUs and 4Gigs of memory. We did some load monitoring over about a day and are average load is about 5 and are peak is 25. Memroy average is 1.6 Gig and peak was 1.8 Gig. Are u...

Running bldxffiles as non-root user

Started By  Greg Moeller
Hi all: I'm trying to run bldxffiles as a non-root user on Solaris 10. I'm getting an error: ld.so.1: bldxffiles: fatal: libsecls.so: open failed: No such file or directory Killed I've tried setting the LD_LIBRARY_PATH env variable specifically but still get the error. bldxffiles works fine from root, so I can only believe that it's a permissions problem... but I can't track it down. Can anyone help Much appreciated, -Greg Moeller

Stay on 8.0.3 past decomission date

Started By  Deleted User
As always with any project, I've been tasked to do a risk analysis of the project. One of those is the idea of staying on 8.0.3 for an unspecified time past the decommission date. As a sys admin I am very skeptical of this idea, but I would like to hear from anyone else who may have done this in the past and how you managed your environments It's my understanding Lawson will continue to support known issues past the decommission date however they won't work to resolve any new is...

Issue Stopping Services for Backup

Started By  bkauffman
We are currently getting ready to go live on LSF 9.0.4 on the Windows platform. I am having an issue when I stop the WAS application server, WAS Node Agent and WAS Cell Manager for our nightly backup. It appears the services stop, but I still have two java.exe processes running. Can anyone advise me on how I can automate stopping these processes in order to perform my nightly backup Also when I stop the WAS Cell Manager, I am being advised the Lawson environment service will be stopped as well....

LSF 9.0 Install

Started By  Deleted User
I'm doing an LSF 9.0 install with ADAM and WebSphere on a W2003 server. In the Lawson manuals I'm finding it states that it'll take 3 - 6 months. Has anyone else done it on there own without the help of Lawson If so, how long did it take you After it is done I'll be doing LBI 9.0 too. If you had Lawson's help how long did you need them onsite I was able to get the products but extremely restricted in getting consulting services. Any suggestions please let me know. Michae...

Loop-back supported under Windows?

Started By  John Costa
I apologize if I'm posting this in the wrong forum but it seemed like the closest spot. My development system consists of two Windows Server 2003 boxes. One server has the Environment (8.0.3, service pack 7), the applications (8.1.0, service pack 6) and the database (SQL-Server 2000). My second server includes the web pieces including Tomcat 4.0.6, Portal, etc. Can someone tell me if a loop-back configuration is supported under Windows Server 2003 I spent 9 hours today...

Installation QA Approach

Started By  Tammy
Hi Everyone! I am a Lawson newbie working for HDSupply in Orlando Florida. My assignment (if I choose to accept it - grin), is to establish structure around the installation of CTPs,MSPs, upgrades etc to Lawson. We are currently on 8.0.3. My question to the forum is... Do you have a best practices approach to analyzing what is changing in a CTP, MSP etc and formulating a test plan from that My approach so far - and I've only installed one bundle of CTPs so far - is: 1...

silent lid install

Started By  linda phillips
Is there a way to do a silent install for lawson lid. we are about to move to the lastest version of lid for 9.0 LSF and have over 150 users to roll this out to. If we could do a silent install this would help a lot being we are not all in one building or location. If anyone can shed any light on this it would be appreciated.
