We have a test system that still has an 8.0.2 environment on it. I want to delete the environment without touching any of the data that the productlines are tied to. Can I edit the MICROSOFT files, remove the DB info, and then follow these KB instructions?
Stop the Lawson Environment service.

1. Go to the server's DOS prompt, type %GENDIR%/bin/removelaw.exe and press Enter .

2. Launch laconfig on the server.

3. Highlight the Environment you want to remove.

4. Click Delete. (This removes the registry entry for that Environment.)

5. Delete the following directory structures: %LAUNTDIR%, %LAWDIR%, %LADBDIR%, and %GENDIR%.

Thanks.

If you are completely removing the environment, there is no need to remove the product lines beforehand.
Thanks for using the LawsonGuru.com forums!
