We are upgrading our server from 2008 R2 standard to 2008 R2 Enterprise.

I have installed everything leading up to Lawson.

When I click next on the Configure Core screen I receive and "Invalid java install directory" message.

As far as I can tell, my Java variable are set up correctly.

I may be off the reservation here, but I seem to recall someone telling me
that the install path for java on Windows needed to be in all lowercase.
Since then, that's all I've ever used.

Make sure %JAVA_HOME%\bin is included in your PATH variable.

Also, I don't think you should have to do a complete reinstall to go from std to enterprise...isn't it just a matter of re-entering the product key in Windows??

Well, figured it out.  I was looking a Java and the issue was with my Perl install.

I cleared out everything Perl and re-installed it, working fine now.

            ugh,

Patrick, do you recall what was wrong with your perl setup? I'm installing the DSP package on a new ming.le foundation server and I'm getting the same error message. Like yourself last year, I'm sure that all of the java variables and setup are correct, but I don't see anything amiss with the perl setup either.

              Thanks, Steve.

                Hi,

I know this post was for a few years ago. I am doing a whole new Landmark installation and I am receiving the same message. All my environment variables seem to be well setup, along with the perl modules and installation. So is there anything else you could suggest me to review?.

                Kind regards,

                KV
