We are an iSeries (V5R4) shop and use Tivoli Directory Services 5.2  ... which is no longer a supported product. So, we must upgrade to the latest Tivoli product. We are not iSeries techies, per se (our datacenter is outsourced) and we have no on-site technical support to speak of. We could use any help/guidance regarding obtaining the product /doing the upgrade/ or words of advise and/or encouragement. Lawson told us to "contact their field services group". Gee, thanks!

What platform and lawson version you are using? You will need to check the compatibility matrix first to see if your environment supports the upgrade.

To obtain the tivoli upgrade: if you are on maintenance with lawson. You would find the download link(s) under "view my products".

Then you read the tivoli installation guide provided by IBM...

        We're an iSeries shop (V5R4). We're on Lawson's 9.0.0.5 (Environment) and 9.0.04 (Apps).

Yes, we're on Lawson maintenance and the product is not found under "my products". I opened a LIS ticket today and was told we have to get the product directly from IBM.

I guess your maintenance does not include tivoli directory server.

According to the compatibility matrix, you can upgrade to Tivoli Directory Server 6.1.

You can also check this migration guide from IBM to see if you need outside help to perform the migration.

Thanks, again, for the response, Jimmy. I had previously downloaded the ppt you referred to but was disappointed that it doesn't address the iSeries.

On a regular basis, maybe 30. Counting ESS, about 2500.
