When we deployed Lawson ESS externally in 901, we had some code that removed the search box and any bookmarks other than ESS from our core users.

We are trying to do the same thing in Lawson 10 but apparently the same code doesn't work.

Has anyone successfully done this?  Would you be willing to share how you've done it?

    Thanks is advance.

    I  appreciate it.

You can set that in the Portal Role. You would probably want to create a separate Portal Role that has the check box for Allowing the use of the search box not checked.

If you use the ISS "external facing" configuration (I think that's what it's called -- you have to check the ISS config documentation), you can specify a specific portal role to be used by anyone hitting that URL. This can typically be used by ESS users, and you can configure the portal role to not have search box, etc.
Thanks for using the LawsonGuru.com forums!
