I'm trying to add a step to a job I set up for a user 7 years ago.  We've added an additional

unit and now trying to run AM220 (and other AM jobs) without overwriting the print file

name since they all get copied to the same folder automatically...

Please see the attachment and tell me where to add the Group to the end of the print and therefore pdf names like it appears to be doing in steps 1-17.

    Hi Greg!
What you're looking for is the print file distribution, which it looks like someone changed for each step in this multi-step job.
In jobdef, select the desired step, press F6 (Define), choose B. Report Distribution, press F6 (Define) then B. Print File Name. Then change the name, hit enter a few times, and you're done.
You can also use jobdump utility (and then jobload to reload) and change the PrtFileName parameter in the desired job step.
If you're not familiar with jobdump/jobload, the syntax is a little wonky
Thanks for using the LawsonGuru.com forums!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!! I didn't go far enough with my defines.
Exactly what I was looking for. Now if you could just extend the file name length to greater than 14 characters... that'd be great.
I know, way too much to ask for a system that is on it's way out.

    Thanks again, John!
