    Hi all,

Since being live on V10 with Mingle/SharePoint, we've had 4 different occasions where the SharePoint/Mingle server has locked up and become inaccessible.  Very frustrating from a technical standpoint (and user standpoint!), for sure!

    Two things:

    1. Has anyone else experienced this? (and what have you done to resolve)

    2. Do folks out there typically schedule regular restarts of the SharePoint server to avoid this?

Note:  We've opened tickets with Infor and, as a result, have added tons of memory and processor and made sure virus scan exclusions were working.  After all that and we were running fine for several weeks, it happened again last night.

Thanks for any insights anyone might have!

    Lenny

Lenny, I've never seen or experienced freezups and restarts for Sharepoint/Mingle. I've done alot of them. I'm surprised but not surprised it is happening with you. In an earlier post you mentioned ant-virus scanning software that is on your Mingle server, correct? I've never seen anti-virus scanning installed on a Mingle server ever.

Where does the lock ups and freezing occur? When attempting to log in? When trying to navigate to a specific form?

What version is OS? DSP? Mingle? Sharepoint?

Roger, Thanks for responding. In answer to your questions:
        1. We have virus scanning turned on for all our servers. But we have Microsoft-recommended exclusions set up.
        2. The server itself is 'freezing' up (the Mingle/SharPoint server)
        3. All pretty current stuff: Win2012 Server R2; Mingle latest-1, Sharepoint 2013
        We'll keep digging.
        Thanks,
        Lenny

          Hello all,
Just wanted to "close the loop" on this one with everyone.

Our issue turned out to be a need to upgrade the VMWare tools on the SharePoint server. Since that's been done, we've been running very stable. So, just something for others to watch out for if they run into SharePoint server issues.
          Have a good day!
