We are currently on LSF 10.0.5 and I want to get us up to 10.0.7 this spring/summer so that we can move to SQL 2014.  I see that I am going to have to upgrade my java from jdk6 to jdk7 and it looks like some of the newest Landmark pieces would like us to be on WebSphere 8.5.5.

I have never upgraded WebSphere before - I have only done new installs and fixpacks.  Does anybody know the best way to upgrade WebSphere?

    thanks

This upgrade is pretty significant, so the best approach is a side-by-side install.
Install WAS 8.5.5, put on FP 6 or 7, install the Java 7.0 (NOTE: Java 7.1 is NOT supported), create profiles, et al.

Now, after going round and round with Infor on this, you'll notice that the base install for Java 7.0 isn't on their page for 8.5.5, though IS there for 8.5.0.
That means, if you don't have a passport advantage account internally, you'll have to do the following:

      1) Install 8.5(.0)
      2) Install Option Java 7.0
      3) Install Refresh pack to get it to 8.5.5
      4) Install FP2 to get the Java parts updated correctly
      5) Install FP 6 or 7
      6) Create Profiles, etc...
