Does anyone use Multi Factor Authentication when users are accessing S3 Portal from the internet/DMZ?

I have not been able to find any useful content on this issue, but I assume there are folks that there are some folks out there somewhere that utilize MFA for S3.

Please advise if you have done so and are willing to share your experience and shed soe insight on the process. (...where you found useful information & documentation on the processpros, cons, any personal insight, etc...)

Thank you in advance for any information you might share.

Which platform (LSF / Infor OS), versions, etc. are factors. How are you currently authenticating?

Hi John. They are currently running on-prem, with Infor OS 10, S3/Portal 10 and Landmark 10 each running on their own WIndows Server 2019 servers.

            John,

InforOS is authenticating with ADFS. We need to use MFA with and LDAP Bind connection to Lawson Core Technology (Portal) directly for Employee/Manager Self-Service.

Correction/Clarification: Since they only actually desire for Portal (ESS/MSS) users to be able to use MFA, I don't think this matters, but the proper versions of InforOS & Landmark are version 12, and version 11, respectively.

            Hope that helps.

If you use microsoft 365, the easy path is azure ad (now “entra”) domain services which has an ldap connector option and entra. Has a gazillion options for configuring MFA.

Otherwise, talk to Paul Mockenhaupt as he sells a connector
