    Hello all.
When LPS did our Lawson installation they used different passwords for the 'lawson' user. The OS user's password is different than the SSOP (portal) password.  I want to change the SSOP password with ssoconfig -c and I understand that process.  I will not be changing the OS password.

My concern comes with when I install environment/application patches. I know that the 'lawson' user ID is used during patch installations.  It also appears that the install.cfg file within %LAWDIR%/system is used.

    My questions are:
    1. Do I need to change any passwords within install.cfg after I perform the ssoconfig?
    2. Are there any other system configuration files I need to be concerned about?

We are on LSF9006, Apps9005, and Windows.

Why are you using ssoconfig to change the lawson users password?

This can be done via the security administration utility.  Change the password on the lawson users ssop identity and that should do it.

You do not need to worry about install.cfg or any other files with the lawson users password change. Have you considered LDAP bind to maintain password synch?

Matt - thank you for the information. I'll change the password within Lawson Security. We want to do an LDAP bind in the near future...my company is just not quite there yet.
