The new ERD's for Reporting Services (RS) and Framework Services are nice.  Now here's another question - how can I export LBI rights  (Currently on LBI 9.0.1.10).   There appears to be no mechanism available.  I have access to FSADM and RSADM via Crystal, and I think I could write a report that would create a rights import file, if only I knew what tables & fields. Hello Does anyone know how to either assign or find the URL to published Crystal Reports in LRS  The scheduling tool Control M might be able to launch CR's once published on LRS.  However, when I click on 'properties' of a published report, I only get the generic:   http://portal.lawson.com/:8383/efs/goid=id351. I am supposed to create a report using crystal and not reportwriter where I am showing the actual units and budget. I am linking glunits and fbdetail. the only problem is there could be multiple budgets defined for the same period and when I link these 2 tables I am getting multiple rows. If I specify a budget no. then if tthere was an actual and no budget it does not get picked up. We are migrating from Lawson AS400 to Lawson Unix and we need to find a solution to archive automatically the Lawson BackOffice reports in LBI. The AS400 keeps every report that the user runs. Unix is only keeping the last copy of the report. We need to have copies of some payroll reports and we do not want do it manually after each payroll. My question is: Is it possible to do it automatically once the Payroll job is completed If yes, how it can be achieved Thanks, Lorena.

Hello Has anyone ever used the scheduling tool from BMC called control M to schedule Cyrstal Reports on a Windows Terminal Server  We are looking at doing this and wanted to see if anyone had any input, sites, recommendations, etc.  We've heard that you can do it but that it's tricky.  The goal here is to use one scheduling tool.  Also, LRS-based scheduling does not allow for contigencies; in other words, if rpt A fails, then do not run rpt B. We have recently upgraded to LBi version 9.0.2.2 on unix aix and websphere 6.1. When a user logins in and clicks on the LBI dashboards link it takes almost 40 seconds for all the dashboards to come up. This is an issue with all users and they would like to see the dashboard withing 2 seconds. Has anybody had any experience with this issue. We are currently upgrading our LBI from version 9.0.1.8 to 9.0.2.2 and we are currently receiving the below error message when we try to validate our Framework Services. Has anyone seen this before or experienced any other issues with 9.0.2.2 *****Error 500: (security:3016) A Repository Error happened during initialization of the User Repository. Hello I am using CRX and LRS.  I have a fairly involved CR with a bunch of groupings (9) off of PAYDEDUCTN (which has about 1,000,000 records). I tried to export this report to Excel from a dashboard and I received this message: A ReportID or Name wasn't passed . I looked at the KB but couldn't find anything.  Any help Thank you.

If you're using Lawson's OLE DB component to build reports in Crystal, can you also integrate data from other databases (non-Lawson) with the objects available in OLE DB  Basically can you join a database table from a non-Lawson database with a Lawson database table available in OLE DB

I have a new client who's current environment is 8.x and are planning to upgrade to LSF 9 in the near future. They have quite a few Crystal Reports that utilize RW100 as a data source. I'm being told by Lawson Support that for any Crystal Reports that use RW100 as a data source must be completely rewritten from scratch for LSF 9. Does anybody know of a less painful way I don't have access to their LSF 9 environment yet so I haven't been able to try and find a better way myself.

We are trying to run Tomcat in our production LBI instance. In conjunction with this, we have all of our users connecting via Citrix sessions to Lawson Portal where the LBI loads as their home page. Is it possible that Tomcat perceives all of these connection requests coming from the same source IP address as a DoS attack Yes, I know Lawson isn't certified on Citrix, but that is a strategic initiative here at the non-profit hospital that I work at.
