Can anyone of you tell how to assigh the security access for an user to access multiple reports other than assigning report user to individual reports

I thought I had seen this posted before but cannot find it. Has anyone been able to automate the import of rights from a csv We want to automate the setup of LBI users entirely and know we can update the tables directly - but would rather use the import option if there is a way to automate it.

I know where the Instance folder is on our reporting server but what type of report am I able to use that data source It is useful in any way Example: D:\LawsonDocuments\12_reportName\Instances

Since we are now on version 10 of LBI, I've been asked by several users to turn report auditing on. I've successfully done that and written an audit report with some of the information that the users wanted in it. My question comes in here. I turned auditing on at 17:00 on the 13th, now at 10:30 on the 15th, I already have 340 rows in the table. Can I just have my DBA strip the table of older data from the table going forward Maybe just keep a quarters worth, and strip the rest

I have a Crystal report that's bursting properly now; most users see all info, one group sees a reduced set. Is there a way I can report some bursting rights info on the report, so I could place a header similar to: 'Report limited to Fund xxx', where the xxx comes from the filter criteria placed on the right's imported structure Thanks, Mike .

We need to report on the number of transactions we do. I can get transaction history from the HRHISTORY. How can I determine all the transactions done directly on HR11.1, HR13.1, BN32.1 and HR13.3 Thanks!

Just getting started with bursting. We have a report that should generally be available to all, but handful of users (all in their own custom group) should only see one work location. Playing with a simple test report, I created the element, structure, and right to restrict that group. What I can't figure out is how to allow another group full access. The only thing that jumps out is to give them a right that is NOT= 'qwzyxs' or some other string that I know is not a real work location....

On PO20.1 there is a button labeled 'Add Cmt'. Clicking it brings up an Attachments window, and under 'Comments to Print on Purchase Orders' I need to find both the Title and Text fields. My usual methods of tracking this down don't seem to work for this one. Thanks in advance for any direction you can provide.

We were upgraded to LBI Version10.1.12.0.179 and I have not been able to import devices since then. I am using the same device template as we did before. I checked the device type naming (from an earlier post by Greg Moeller) and still can't upload. My error is: - An error occured when attempting to save the device to the database. - The device import has completed with errors. Some devices might not have been imported. Nothing imported. Infor said they can't duplicate update to the next...

Good Morning, We're running LBI (201105) 9-0-4-2-137 We have reports scheduled nearly everyday, normally they run with no problems. However, yesterday and this morning, no reports ran as scheduled. Hi, I have a Crystal Report that contains a sub report. This report is loaded in LBI. When I choose to export the report as CSV, first, it takes like an hour (annoying), second, it creates a duplicate or triple (or more) records for each record on the report. Why are the repeated records occuring on the report We have other reports that are exported this way that also have sub reports. Any insight would be much appreiated! Thanks! Tania Hummelgard

I am publishing an EE roster of 6000 people. I need the Manager running the report to only view employees they have access to. I concatenated a few fields where the IDs are to make the field i want touse to check the manager . i already tried the formula below: CurrentCEUsername in {Manager String} in lbi and crystal but it did not pull the data. In LBI, it kept asking the users for a default ID and PW. Can someone please assist Thanks!

I have a question and I am getting no where currently with infor support. I just want information from them but they are not getting anywhere with me and just wanting me to run fiddler etc. I feel this is an easy solution. Here is the issue. We are having our systems moved and I want LBI to be available longer than lawson. We usually log into lbi via a link in the lawson portal but I do have the direct url for lbi. I am being told they are not sure if LBI can be up without the portal We don't want to allow users to log into the portal because we don't want any data changed. Our LBI is strictly reports only. Has anyone here upgraded from LBI 9.05 to 10 I called Infor Support and was told that it would take 1-2 hours, maybe even less. And that it would just be an install on top of the existing one. Is it really that easy What should I look out for We are only upgrading LBI to 10. None of the other Lawson apps would be upgraded. Is that possible recommended Thanks!

The AM260 report is still in the user's print manager and he needs an excel file created. I just received this call 5 minutes ago. I used to 'crystallize' Lawson standard reports10 years ago but have not done it in recent memory. I rarely use OLEDB although I have it on my computer. Of course the users needs it tomorrow and I was going to be on PTO but I would still like to help if at all possible.
