i have experience with crystal but not with M3 database. I have LBI, M3 database(Oracle)

and crystal. I also have smart office client installed to access M3 and its programs.

User wants to see the Unapplied cash report of customers which doesn't include deposits by the customers.

What tables, fields, and conditions i should use to get this report?

    Any help would be appreciated...

And , I have been reading lot about Lawson Apllication reports and Lawson Back office reports

what are these reports and how do i get them?

      Naresh -

Use the MDP (Metadata Publisher) - it's a great resource for providing the table relationships and fields necessary to create reports. You can enter a Program Name - ie: MMS001 and MDP will give you all of the tables/joins behind that program. You can also enter table name etc.

Hope that helps you out, drop me a note if you would like more info.

Thanks Rob... Metadata publisher is really helpful. I was able to get the relations and tables used.

        Regarding my other questions:
Question 1) What are Lawson application reports and Lawson back office reports?

I was being asked in my project that do I know any of standard M3 reports...
Qeustion 2) where do i get these standart M3 reports?

          Hi Naresh -

Lawson application/back office reports are reports which are called from within the App - things like PMS230 etc. Lawson does provide standard SQL reports in the M3 Solutions Kit - it's downloadable from Products and installed using LCM.

I don't check this board too often - you can reach me on mobile if you need more info.
