I am new at being an app. admin for LBI. Currently, we have our timeout set at 30 mins, but my concern is that information can be left on the screen and doesn't actually go back to the log in screen after the timeout. What needs to be done to have LBI timeout and send the screen back to the log in screen so no information is left on the screen?

Tell your users to close IE browser when they go to lunch or whatever.

There are two timeout values that govern the login behavior, portal session timeout and LBI session timout. (I am assuming you are using DSSO with your LBI) You would want to set the LBI timeout > portal timeout. So you only have one session-timeout to deal with. Set your portal to 30 minutes and LBI to 45 minutes. What will happen is:

Portal will timeout at 30 minutes idle time. When user comes back, they will see whatever they were working on. However, once they try to do anything, inquiry or whatever, they will be prompted to login again. thus, a new session will be initiate again for both portal and LBI again.

I agree with Jimmy, I would have them log out or lock their PC so others could not see the information while they are away from their desk. I think about it the same as saying don't leave a HR11 open while you are at lunch or away from your desk for a long period of time.

You have risk here but I simply lock PC when I walk away from my desk and then without someone hacking my password, there is no way for them to see the info on my screen.

Thanks guys! Since there is no real other option, I'll have to implement that plan.
