Since we are now on version 10 of LBI, I've been asked by several users to turn report auditing on.
I've successfully done that and written an audit report with some of the information that the users wanted in it.

My question comes in here. I turned auditing on at 17:00 on the 13th, now at 10:30 on the 15th, I already have 340 rows in the table.

Can I just have my DBA strip the table of older data from the table going forward? Maybe just keep a quarters worth, and strip the rest?

Greg,

Unfortunately, I don't have the answer to your question but I wondered if you are tracking the report activity run time or last run time? We would like to use this statistic to identify inactive reports.

Thank you.

Donna:
We are using the REQUESTTIME field.

*Note: I have written a report for last run time that doesn't rely on turning the report auditing on. Let me see if I can dig that one up for you.

Greg,

My system evidently is not populating these fields because the value displayed in both fields is 13-Dec-1901 8:45pm and it appears to only print the scheduled reports.

We will probably need to use the auditing after all. But you are still the best because of your generous sharing of support and information.

Perhaps your system is different than ours.. Ours is running an Oracle database, SQL would likely be different. Yes, the report is only for scheduled reports.
