In some cases we have scheduled smart notes that will deliver multiple copies to the same subsriber identically timestamped. There is only one scheduled time each day/week/month for each of these updates. This just started in the past two weeks. Delivery history also shows the duplicate deliveries.

Any idea how we got here or how to reverse?

I just started experiencing this same issue. Have you been able to resolve it?

      Thanks

do you allow your users to subscribe to notificaitons? Are you using solution packs to migrate from development to production?

We do allow people to individually subscribe. However as creator of the notes is also getting them in duplicate form even when they are not subscribed but only the creator. We are not doing anything with solution packs to migrate in this situation.

how are you kicking them off? The internal scheduler? what do you see in the delivery history?

I might do so digging in the scheduler tables and see if maybe somehow duplicate records were created but arent showing up in the application.

Yes we are using the internal scheduler. I do see duplicate deliveries to the same addresses. Mostly on the same minute. I have checked the table for one specific instance. Deleted the schedule itself through the application. Looked in the tables to see that there is no longer an entry for scheduling. Waited until the next day and had it redeliver at the orginally intended time without a schedule existing.
it is turning into a conundrum.

Are you aggregating data by recipient? if your logic was returning duplicate records and you arent aggregating by recipient this could happen.

It could be that my issue is completely different - but in case it helps.

I was trying to burst a notification based on e-mails contained in the InfoSet, and also send a copy of everything to 2 specific people. I subscribed the 2 specific people to the notification and selected "Deliver to the recipients and copy to devices selected on Device tab" on the Delivery-Bursting tab. When I did this everybody (the individual recipients based on e-mails in the InfoSet, and the subscribers) received 3 identical copies of each notification.

Changing the delivery option to "Deliver to the recipeints" eliminated the duplicates. Of course that means the subscribers are not receiving the notification. I put it on their dashboard so they can see the data, but they're not receiving e-mails so they need to check their dashboard without receiving an e-mail alert. So my issue isn't 100% resolved, but at least people aren't getting 3 copies of the same e-mail now.

No duplicate records when run directly against the database.

@BarabaraS That was a previous issue for me with which to choose. I made one smart note that delievers only to the recipients and then aother Smart Note off the same Infoset for the 2 people to subscribe to. They both update at the same time and send the email as desired.
