Never had to deal with this until now - can smart notes only be edited (other than through the Content Manager) by one person - the owner?
It appears that only the person flagged as the smart note owner can edit or change the smart note - so if someone else needed to come in behind they would have to transfer the ownership to themselves and then be able to do the edits.
Is this true as far as anyone else had checked?

I have delat with this and I have actually done this where to edit it was to change the ownership to me. However I do know you can subscribe yourself to a notification.
I think this is the only way to edit a smart note when you are not the owner.

I'm not seeing that you can edit the smart note (even if you are an admin) if you only subscribe to it. I'm only finding that the owner has the ability to edit.
If I subscribe I don't get the "edit" link with the notification in the list.

This is a true statement. Smart Notifications can only be edited by the owner or through the use of the Content Manager. You can take ownership of any notification, edit it, then return ownership back to the original owner.

George , you are right. Subscribing to a smart note does not give you the capability to edit it unless you change the ownership to yourself.

How do you take ownership? The 'Content Administration Tool' screen seems to only allow you to look at certain parts, and the 'Manage Content' area under LBI doesn't even show Smart Notes.

Thought I'd update this with a little more detail as I'd had a hard time remembering/finding the way to do it...
From the LBI Tools dashboard/Smart Notifications option, select ADMIN, then from there under Content, use the Content Administration Tool.
The tool has the usual "quirky" interface, starting off empty and requires the following steps to successfully navigate and complete the ownership change;
1) Select a user by clicking the
Click Here To Select A User
item and navigate via the appropriate Group, select User and click Add, then OK (talk about long winded!!)
2) Select Condition, Report, Fact, then the GO button - you'll now see a list of the "Content" you can manage.
3) In order to actually assign to another user you have to also/now choose the user, top right click on
+ Click here to select a user
, follow the navigation again to choose the user in question.
4) Select the appropriate "Action" check-boxes, and THEN (finally!!!!) you can click "Assign To" in the button bar.
FYI - I'd also had an inquiry as to how to change ownership of Devices for Smart Notes - you do that using these SAME directions, just selecting "Devices" in step #2 above
