We are moving from a 4 decimal pricing format to a 2 decimal format for all of our LUM pricing with Owens & Minor.

I have changed all the pricing using the file they sent me, however, I noticed that the price is correct now, but still showing 4 decimals.

Is that something hard coded in PO25.6?

You have to update IC11 for each item.

What would I need to update in IC11? I just wanted to update the pricing we already had in PO25.6. These are established LUM items but had a 4 decimal price. I wanted to change to a 2 decimal price. The price did change but the 4 decimal place holder remained.

4 decimals will display regardless of the cost (with the item on IC11 set to 4 decimals). The last 2 decimals should be 00.

If an item changed to $1.25 it will display as 1.2500

Bev, did you have any issues when you went from 4 to 2 decimal places? We want to go from 3 to 2 decimal places, but I want to make sure it will not cause an issue elsewhere.

                  Hi Bev,
I have the same question, we are currently looking to standardization going from 4 decimal to 2. Did it have any impact to Accounts Payable?

I would be curious as well. Our Materials Management group is going to be using a new tool which will require everything to be 2 decimals from the PO through to the invoice. We have invoice files that come in from both GHX and another outside vendor. I believe we will need to have them change the format of the file once the MM users go in and change the # of decimals in IC11. We were going to just do some testing to see what happens (in our test system) because I couldn't get a real straight answer from the vendor that is requiring this change or from Lawson.

                      Stacey,

I could be wrong (AP is not my strong suit in Lawson) but if your accounting team uses match rule groups, you will probably need to look at the tolerances that are set up to make sure they don't go out to 4 decimals.
