Hi everyone - we're doing physical inventory and are having some issues with counting. We're getting complaints from facilities that IC72 is defaulting all UOMs to the EA and staff is having a hard time counting by that unit of measure.

Is there anyway to modify the IC270 to either default the UOM to show the default transaction UOM set up in IC12 or include the items full packaging string?

Follow up question, when you guys do physical inventory do you have staff enter counts directly into IC72 or do they fill out the physical count sheets and turn them into a single person who fills out IC72?

Nothing I've seen will make physical inventory count anything other than stock uom. For that reasons, most of my inventories have custom labels with conversion factors on them for the warehouses - but even that is hit or miss depending on how big they can make their labels.

As to how to enter the counts - we use MSCM to get the count to the IC72. Prior to that, we passed out the sheets and turned them into a data point person who keyed them into IC72.

When you bring up IC72 on the handhelds, does it still show EA as the default UOM or is the UOM field blank?

EA. Lawson is nothing if not determined.

is that alternate UOM specified on IC12 also marked as TRACKED on the IC11 for that item?
