Just wondering what others are using for their hardware/modem combinations for the Lawson Fax Integrator?

We just lost another laptop during a massive power outage, and want to know what others are using.

From our testing, the USB modems do not seem to work with a standard PC or laptop.

Internal modems only and those are getting harder and harder to come by.

Can someone please help?

We're using an internal modem on a Win7 desktop pc.

This probably won't be all that helpful, but after fighting that same fight for years our tactic has been to start weaning off of faxing. For those vendors that we cannot get onto EDI, we move to a modified form of email (we send them through DocuSign rather than direct email as this allows us to know if an email has not been read). We currently still have a s free-standing PC in our datacenter with a U. S. Robotics V.92 USB Voice Modem - and it works for us - but it less and less use each month. I do find it interesting though that you've had bad experiences with USB modems, and good with internals. We were unable to get internal modems to work reliably and switched (several years ago) to USB.
