Hello All!!  Hoping someone has some advise and experience for me...

Current process:  Item comes in through UPS/FedEx, delivered to building 1.  Using RAD, we perform a miscellaneous receipt.  This item needs to be delivered to building 2.  In handing the item to our mailroom, they "deliver" the item in MSCM.  They then keep manual records of where the item is delivered.  Once it is "delivered", you cannot perform any other transactions, loosing a lot of information.

Question....  Can MSCM record multiple points until it reaches its final destination?  Similar to FedEx...  you can track your box and seeing the various depots the box was at until you get it...

    Example:

    • Dock log - building 1
    • Receipt - building 1
    • Mailroom - building 1
    • Mailroom - building 2
    • Delivered to end user

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Much appreciated!

You can deliver to alternate transfer locations, more than once.  In your case the mailroom1 and mailroom2 would be setup as locations and in mscm you would set them to Receiving and Delivery Transfer locations.  When you deliver to mailroom1, on the screen where you would click C for confirm, at the bottom of the screen click Delivery, then select Alternate Transfer Location - only the locations that you set to Receiving and Delivery Transfer locations will show here.  Select Mailroom1 and complete the delivery as normal. In the mscm tracking screen this will show as Confirmed Transfer. Then you would do the same for delivery to Mailroom2.  Complete the final delivery to the requesting location as normal.
