MSCM Par Counting

    Looking to see what processes others have established for maintaining par levels in their IC81 par locations.  We use MSCM to help us count our par locations.  Usage patterns change so the levels set a month ago may not be sufficient today.  How successful have you been with using MSCM par counting?

     

    How do you initially establish your par levels for new locations?

    Do you grant user access to update par levels on the handheld?

    How often do you run IC182 Par Location Utilization

    What other methods do you use to optimize your par levels?

      Our Central Stores use the handhelds to count pars and the inventory clerks are responsible for the initial par levels. They then review it with the manager. I do not know if they use the handheld or IC81 to do so.

      The ORs have non-stock pars and typically the person responsible for the stock room is the one creating maintaining the IC81.
