PO23: Cannot change buy UOM for inventory or non-stock items

Couple places I'd check: Is it a valid BUY UOM in IC11? Are the BUY and PRICE UOM fields hard coded in PO13 for the vendor item? Is the item tied to an agreement (PO28)?

PO23 is specifically saying inventory and non-stock? You could also check IC12.

IC00 has the Allow UOM Changes With Open Transactions - but PO23 isn't usually where that error shows up.

@Kat - yes, the message I posted came directly from PO23.

@Jon - everything is defined in IC11. No price or buy uom is defined in PO13. The item is tied to an agreement though at the other UOM but would that prevent it from changing the UOM?

I just recreated this error in our test system. It's coming back to me now that I've seen this before and was never able to correct it in PO23. I've just told the buyers to add the item to a PO and fix it in PO20.

Yeah that's exactly what we had to do. Oh well.
