We're trying to figure out the best way to give some par location (IC81) owners the ability to change their shelf locations.  They can change the par level on the handheld but I don't think they can change the shelf location.  We would like to limit their change access to just  the prefer-bin field but also don't think that's possible.  What are others doing?  We do not want to give them complete change access due to the risk of them really messing some stuff up.  Any advice on what has worked for you would be helpful.

We force them to request changes from Supply Chain. That lets us find space for new items, actually remove product when they want it gone and reorder things when they need to be moved. We've had several par locations that have gotten "reorganized" without going through us and they've learned that if they do that, the handheld order won't match and it becomes more difficult to count.

In LSF security classes, it is possible to restrict a user to select fields. Corporate Finance is allowed to change the description and CDM on IC11 and nothing else.

This is what we do as well. MM manages all IC81s so floor staff will need to request any kind of organizational change so MM can take care of it.
