We currently use the MC55 to inventory our LUM cart locations. Our LUM items are on a separate account number with our O&M distributor and are designated in Lawson with a remit to value of R6.

How would I create new locations to be inventoried using the MSCM hand held, but create bulk orders?

Now, after the order is sent from the Hand Held, an RQ500 job runs to create the reqs.

      Hi Bev –
When you create the new IC81 "Par location(s)", Lawson will auto-create a new RQ01 “requesting location” record and a new IC02 “ship to” record with the same code as your IC81 code. Assuming you use EDI to transmit POs to O&M, you will map the account number in the ED40 screen. If you do not use EDI, then it gets a bit more complicated to explain.

I can explain this over the phone if you want.

I'm assuming that you are talking about creating a new location in the storeroom for items you want to issue or inventory by the case which already exist in the LUM location issued/inventoried by eaches. I would set up a new IC02 location called BULK and add that item to IC12 to issue by whatever bulk UOM you need. You would have to set up your select IDs for BULK in order to use MSCM to do your counts. And like Mike said, map the bulk order account for O&M to that new location in ED40. If you fax your orders create a vendor location record (AP10.2) and add the account there and assign that to the replenishment screen (IC12.2).
