I want to update a single field in HR11 from within a users ESS session. I have the Product line, Company and Employee values for the EMPSET1 key and am able to read the record with a DME call but the AGS call to update the record is not working. I'm checking the status but don't get any value. Could anyone priovide a working example of an AGS call to update a single field including the status check? Is there any Lawson supplied documentation on this other than the DS users guide? Thanks!

I've always had to also include the Effective Date when trying to update HR11. We've decided to use Personnel Actions for all of our updates though, so I'm not sure if there is something else. I know that you have to include XMIT-HREMP-BLOCK to bypass many of the warning messages on any AGS call to PA52 - I believe you have to do the same for HR11.

I'll give that a try. Is it normal for the Ags call not to return an invalid code when updating a table even though it failed?

After playing with the API Builder and looking at the HRDATA technical document it appears the field I picked to hold the data (EMP-TAX-TRANSPORT) is orphanded. I do not see it available in the API builder for HR11 and no referencing programs are listed next to it in the HRDATA document. We'll pick another field and see if AGS gives bettter results.
