Can Design Studio be used to customize Requisition Center?  We found in an older manual, that self service forms cannot be customized with Design Studio.  Is RQC considered one fo those self service forms?

RQC can't be modified by Design Studio, if you needed you could modify an RQ10 to customize it and put a link to the form within the RQC bookmarks. Otherwise you will have to customize RQC directly. We have a few customizations like an Attachment button to add quotes, contracts, etc to RQC and have that flow with it through approval.

          Hello, Jessica--

What functionality is the end goal of your RQC customization effort? We are looking to redesign RQC--it might be something that we've already considered! (Or perhaps not.) A good place to keep up with our progress is on the new www.inforcommunities.com

          Hope you're well.

            Mark,

Was your customizations for the attachments done directly on RQC? Would you be willing to share more detailed information on how you added the attachment feature and allowed it to flow through the approval process?

We developed attachment ability for both requesters and approvers in RQC and within Process Flow.  In addition, we expanded the search capabilities of both RQC Inquiries using multiple ranges and overlapping criteria.

The customizations can occur at the front end in JavaScript or the back end interfacing programs using COBOL depending on your IT resources and user requirements.
We have RQC customization in java script to help the requesters make better selections in the search. For example, we added icons to the search lines for when item images exist, a preferred contract or local, if there is a vendor order minimum, and stocked in our central warehouse. We also added an information button to each search line and cart line that allows requester to see stock levels at the central warehouse, if someone else in their department has an open order for that item, item complements and supplement, etc. We even updated the checkout message to show the estimated delivery date. On the backend, we added the ability to determine account unit based on UNSPSC to assist our punchout automation.

Russ, we are hoping to allow users the ability attach quotes, contracts, etc from the RQC.

                    Hey Scott,

I know this thread is little old but would you be willing to send along a screen shot of what your current RQC looks like to the end users?  We're looking to make some changes and wanted to see what you've done.
