Has anyone succesfully configured LSO through the grid extensions to bind with the LSF RM  If so, what parameters did you use for User Element Mapping (Base DN, Object Class, and User Attribute), Group Element Mapping (Base DN, Object Class, and User Attribute). Thanks everyone!

I'm getting some conflicting information for LSO. Are Grid Extensions required for LSO Server I just have one grid, and one installation point. Some of the documentation is saying that Grid Extensions are optional, but then another piece is saying it's required... Thank you, R

I am not sure where to look for this one.... I go to the LSO site using the FQDN and port /LSO and I get to the 'Install Lawson Smart Office'  page but when I click the link the address it is trying to bring up is the name of the LCM service host with the same port number and indicating that the LSO server with tthe client port. Installed on Win 2008 R2 - LCM 9.1.9 On 2nd Server (alson Win2008 R2) Installed LCM service Installed Grid 10.1.8.1 Grid Extension (Session Provider) 10.1.8.0 into new grid (LSOGrid) Companion(Grid) 9.1.4 into grid (LSOGrid) All installs are done with UID that is in the LCM Admin group. I just installed an instance of the LSO 9.1.9.x and it is a little different from previous versions. The canvases are different and don't have the jarring colors as previous versions. Also just to get the basic functionality of smart office, i.e. to just have S3 forms without companion and videos, we did NOT have to install Websphere. (We did not have inbaskets or LBI). So if you're looking to install LSO 9.1.9.x you could keep this in mind. Thx, Roger

For those who were not at CUE and have not seen, Smart Office is now available for maintenance only. No license purchase if completed prior to August! They price it based on the number of heads down users from areas like HR, Finance, Purchasing. Then you pay the maintenance for the year. I expect a flury of activity on this offering and a good deal of converts.

I understand that for an implementation to be successful you need more hardware on the client vs server. But I have yet to see any specs for the hardware. Does the specs on the server matter Can someone tell me how their performance is How many users are live with this what specs is the server you are using Is everything installed on one server What are the specs of the client you are testing with.

Right now, we (my counterpart and myself) are only aware of one way to deploy the client, and that is to go to every end users' workstation and install Smart Office. I'm installing LifeCycle Manager on windows 2008 server. LCM is installed for version 9.0.1.8.  The LCMService is installed but it isn't running. I restart it but it imediately stops. The server log says that there is no configuration for the wrapper. I've rebooted a few times, verified I'm in the Admin group to start the service, etc. Still nothing. We're about to undergo an upgrade to Apps Version 9.0.1 - as well as the environment update to 9.0.1.   With this, we are considering a Smart Office installation.  We're still on LAUA security.  Lawson has stated that Security 9 is required to use Smart Office with Enterprise Search BUT not required if you don't use Enterprise Search.  Since we're not going to use the Enterprise Search piece of Smart Office, we're hoping to remain on LAUA security for now.  I would appreciate any feedback from a...
