Smart Office (Mango Server) Authentication Error

    Greetings gurus,

    I'm currently working thru the install of the Smart Office client on my PC and have hit a snag.  After providing my login credentials to Smart Office, I'm presented with an invalid name or password "Authentication error".  The message box also shows a [MangoAuthenticateErrror]   (that's no type-o, error has 3 "r"s in the message dialog box).

    Anyhow, my DSSOSessionProvider logs the following:

    Session provider is reporting this

    2014-09-11 09:42:15,302  WARN DSSOSessionProvider  DSSOPrincipalUtils: [request-11] Could not create grid principal

    com.lawson.security.authen.SecurityAuthenException: Bad id. Is null or empty.

    I'm stuck on where to start looking to address the problem.  My DSSOSessionProvider works and is able to communicate with my LSF server.

    Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

      Sorry if this sounds rather trivial, but have you verified that the the LSF server is up and running.  Assuming that you have LSF authenticaion rather than LSAP. We get this question from users when we perform maintence on our LSF servers. No LSF running == no Smart Office logins.

        I am having a similar issue after installing LCM, Grid, DSSO, and Smart Office. My Lawson environment is up and the identity appears to be created properly. If anyone has any ideas of what else may cause this I would be happy to hear them.

        DSSOPrincipalUtils: [request-24] Could not create grid principal
        com.lawson.security.authen.SecurityAuthenException: Bad id. Is null or empty.
