Just had a Lawson support person help me out with debugging some edits on a PA55 upload, they sent me a document that is only available to Advanced Add-ins class attendees at CUE. Figured I would share it.  Its attached to this post. Has a really great section on how to debug edits from uploads. I am in the planning stages for installing MS Addins and setting up LAUA security accordingly. According to the 'Lawson Administration: LAUA Security', page 25, step 5, the security class for the users who will use the Addins must not include access to environment forms. We are new to Lawson using the new LS security. I have security working for all addins except AM20. When my user runs it with here SuperAdmin security, it fails. When she uses Lawson (CheckLS = 'N') it works. The only thing I can find in the logging is that 'It can't execute script ModLocalAdmin.bat'. This is from the xls log. Any ideas were I can look

Can anyone share the secret to doing an upload for HR codes, but the actual values list (hr04.7). We have a new hr code with a bunch of values and would hate to manually input. I think that there are hidden fields involved. Any help is appreciated.

We are upgrading to LSF9, but remaining on 8.03 applications until next year.  We are currently on MS Add ins v2.0.5.0.  Lawson has indicated that we can upgrade to v9.0.3.1.  My understanding is that this version was released in 2006.  Is anyone with this configuration using a different version of MS Add-ins  Thanks

I'm attempting to create an Add-In for the PO20.1 that will perform a 'Release' from the 'Action' menu. I have three fields mapped (Company, PO Number, and Save FC) on the attached spreadsheet and .uwf.  When I run the Add-In the result is 'Change Complete - Continue'.  However, if I inquire on that PO on PO20, the Revision still states 'Unreleased'. We're on Apps 8.1, LSF9, Add-Ins 9.0.3.1. Any ideas/thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ken

Most of our Invoice have one line distribution.We are building AGS call to add records to AP20.7  to  occur few days  after Invoice header was created and Invoice is approved.  Running into issue with adding one record to AP20.7 OR AP20.2 (distribution). First record does not get added through AGS call OR Add-In. Return message -Message>No More Records For Given Key. So we just got the LSF9 environment, and I just found out that one of the things that changed is the method of authentication for DME queries. In the 8.0.3 environment, basic HTTP authentication was used, which is very easy to navigate using perl. However, in the LSF9 environment, the DME authentication switched to the Lawson server side auth, which is basically requiring a login to the same login form that normal users have to log into Portal with. Does MS Addins and or Excel have a size limit to the amounts to be extracted in a query  We have a number we have queried from a table that appears to have lost the last two digits of a $3trillion gl amount.

As part of our LSF 9.0 implementation we are upgrading MS Addins. We would like to allow query only capability without providing the Upload even when some people may have update rights to the screen in Portal. I know by removing the 2 upload wizard files you can prevent uploads from being done but I was curious how you bundled that process to provide users or people to install MS Addins and ensure these wizards are not installed.

Help - We need to see Activity field information for unreleased AP invoices to determine which activity is overbudget and not allowing the batches to post. Set-up a query of APDISTRIB and APINVOICE tables including Activity and Account Category field from APDISTRIB.  Allowed Multiple OTM Values for multiple invoice lines. On AP20 screen confirmed that on invoices queried there were activities entered, but nothing was included in the Actvitiy field of the query. I am trying to upload a file from CE Broker to PA22 Certifications but I am getting duplicate records for some reason.  LIS does not support this function when I asked them for help.

we are currently 8.03 sitting on 9.0lsf and use Ghx as our provider for EDI. We currently became a tax company and we seem to have a problem at month end with out of balance for AP due to tax. WHen you look the tax is not be added to the invoice and we run the ap126 which matches and were done. Has anyone set up edi for tax   I'm begining to think that this is the problem. I know it is hard to believe (and i can't believe i am asking) but, I need to slow down the Addins upload to one entry per second.  The reason behind it... APAUDIT has a time field (APA-TRANS-TIME) that is updated during a delete load I am working on in AP10.6 and the process aborts with a duplicate record error due to the time (HHMMSS).  So far I have been able to insert several lines of old data between the rows that could cause a failure and it appears to be working fine, however, with a sing...
