We just upgraded our Lawson systems as follows:  LSF Environment to 9.0.1.11, Portal to 9.0.1.11 and Applications to 9.0.1.9.

Since that time, however, we have experienced a major slowdown in our add-in uploads.  We do not see these issues in our test environment, however.  I have seen other posts in the forums regarding similar issues, but the tips/resolutions discussed do not work for us.

We run our Lawson system on Windows 2003 R2, and use the 9.0.3.1 version of Add-Ins.

Our database logs do not indicate any more (or unusual) activity than normal during an upload, nor do we see anything unusual in our Websphere logs; and the Websphere configuration is the same between the two environments.

Security logs do not indicate any error occurring during the time that an upload was running.

We also checked our database indexes using the verify command, and they appear to be OK.

Does anyone have any other thoughts or suggestions as to what may be causing this?

    Thanks so much.

It is my understanding that there is an Lawson Environment patch to fix this issue, which may or may not be included in the release and patch level you are on. Have you contacted Infor Extreme support regarding this?

        Hello Barb,

We did contact Infor Extreme regarding this issue.

They did mention Lawson Environment patch KB-1417922, if that is the same one you are thinking about, but they said this is only supported for Windows 2008. Since we are still running Windows 2003, this would not apply to us. They have not been able suggest any other possibilities for a resolution.

        Thanks!

Just to follow up, we have been able to resolve our issue.

Although we're not 100% certain what the ultimate resolution step was, we believe it was another manual run of the scrgen command for all product lines. When this command completed, and the server was restarted, our response time for uploads returned to normal.

          Thanks again.

Thanks for the follow up, I've had many, many problems with Addins over the years, that is not a solution that I've heard of in the past. Don't know about anyone else in the Forum, but I appreciate it.

It may be related to some of the forms getting the data populated with the screen names... For instance: We've had some of our RQ screens affect the abilitity of RQC to return templates. And HR11 gets filled in with Employee number HR11.1 etc.
