AddIns not loading properly

My company has several AddIn reports that are supposed to update the PR14 deduction screen when our employees enroll through the Benefitfocus enrollment system.  We are having issues with these changes not uploading to PR14 for our voluntary benefits.

I am thinking that it is due to the column FC that would be either an Add, Change or Stop.  I am not knowledgeable on add-ins but I am beginning to think that the AddIns are not loading because either the benefit is not there at all and it is listed as a Change and possibly should be an Add or the deduction is there and is already stopped.

Can anyone steer me in the right direction as to where I can get my hands on information on the Lawson Add-Ins that gives practical advice on how to use for someone who is an end user, not an IT person?  Thank you so much.

Hopefully someone more knowledgeable in benefits/HR and payroll will chime in, but I think for benefit deductions you should be using BN32 to start/change/stop the benefits, and then run BN100, which updates the payroll deductions, rather than updating directly via PR14. Regardless, you should be downloaded from EMDEDMASTR to create the upload file, making sure you have the correct value for the hidden field called "EDM-SEQ-NBR", since that is used behind the scenes deductions created from BN100.
Thanks for using the LawsonGuru.com forums!

I agree with John - if your benefits are set up with actual plans on BN15 (you don't say what type of benefit you're trying to load), you should definitely NOT be loading amounts directly to PR14. In order to update those benefits, you can use addins to add/change/delete on BN32, which would flow over and update PR14. If you're receiving a file from Benefitfocus, it would probably be easiest to use BN531 (instead of add ins) to allow you to follow the benefit rules for your plans. However, if these are deductions that are stored on PR14 and NOT in a benefit plan, you don't have the option for the FC add/change/delete. You'd use the option on the upload tab of the addins - Try to add, then try to change, etc.

Appreciate the quick responses.  I will bring this to management to discuss the possibility of setting up benefit plans.  I believe that is the best way to go.  Thanks.

            Hi Claire,

I am working with Benefitfocus to rollout their enrollment system to our organization. Our Lawson system will be the system of record for Employee Demographics, and Benefitfocus will be the system of record for Benefit Elections.  I am assuming that your organization is using Benefitfocus in the same manor.  How are you uploading/importing the Payroll Deduction File provided by Benefitfocus to your Lawson payroll system?
