WF06.1 - Agent Definition

Use WF06.1 (Agent Definition) to define agents.

Agents route information from one workflow component to the next. For
instance, a small function of the
VW Agent is to take work unit information from the Workflow Management system
and deliver it to
FileNet PANAGON Visual WorkFlo 3.0.

Agents can reside in two locations: remotely and locally. Remote agents
reside on a separate agent server
and are managed using the Workflow Manager. The remote agents are: Auto
Participant, Mail Agent and
VW Agent. Local agents reside on the workflow server and are managed using
WF13.1 (Agent Manager).
The local agents are: SMTP Mail Agent and UNIX Mail Agent.

Updated Files

    CKPOINT    - The CKPOINT file is a batch process recovery file. This file
                 stores the number of the last record processed.
