GL Transaction Writer Layout
The General Ledger Transaction Writer Layout file stores transaction writer
layout information defined in the Layout form tab in GL55.1 (Transaction
Writer).

Name The Transaction Writer name.
GWL-LINE Numeric 2 GL55.1
Line The line number determines whether the
columns being maintained are on line 1
or line 2.
01 = Line 1
02 = Line 2

Column Number The column number within the line
number.
GWL-MATRIX-CAT Alpha 12 GL55.1
Matrix Attribute The attributes defined for General
Ledger transaction-type objects.
Attributes are used in selection and
sorting for reporting and analysis.
GWL-FIELD-SIZE Numeric 2 GL55.1
Field Size The size of the column. Date fields are
8, Numeric fields are a maximum of 18,
and alpha fields are a maximum of 20.
GWL-DECIMALS Numeric 1 GL55.1
Decimals The decimal values for the column are
0-6. Zero is the default. Decimals are
only used with amount and currency
rate-type fields.

the column.

Count Total Option Counts either the number of records in

Supress Column Determines if the field value will

transaction. No is the default.

Supress Line Determines if the entire line will
Duplicates print if it equals the previous
transaction field value. No is the
default.

GWL-ALIGN-HEADING Alpha 1 GL55.1
Align Heading Determines how the heading aligns over
the field values. Left align defaults
for alpha fields. Right align defaults
for all other fields.
The heading is aligned based on the
entire column size.

R = Right
C = Center
