Burden Template
Burden templates are set up by inventory location (production facility) to
represent non-inventory costs included in the total cost of producing finished
goods.

Location Code This field contains a valid stock
location within the company inventory.
It is also the production facility where

orders.

Burden Code A burden code identifies a burden that
has cost and rate information that is
used to determine costs in addition to
inventory item costs associated with a
simple production process.

Burden Type Burden type is used to determine the
type of calculation that is used to
arrive at the total cost associated with
a specific burden.
A = Flat Amount
F = Amount Per FG Unit
U = Amount Per Burden Unit
P = Percent Of FG Inventory Cost

Accounting Unit The accounting unit (along with the
account and subaccount fields) are used
to default to burdens as they are added
to finished good templates when no
account information is entered.
The accounting unit is a shorthand
notation representing the variable level
number. When used in the General Ledger
Account Master file, the accounting unit
must be defined in the General Ledger
Names file as a posting accounting unit.

unit and subaccount, make up the
location (account) where amounts and
other account information are stored.
These fields are defaulted to burdens

identification code that the burden is
associated with.

Est Amt This is the estimated amount for flat
amount burdens.

Est Amt Per U This is the estimated amount per unit
used in the calculation of per finished
good burdens and per burden unit
burdens.

Est Qty This is the estimated quantity used
along with estimated amount per unit and
estimated multiplier for the calculation
of per burden unit burdens.

describe the measurement of the amount
per unit field for 'per burden unit'
burdens. 'Hourly Rt' is an example for
this label.

Qty Lbl Quantity label can be used to describe
the measurement of the quantity field
for 'per burden unit' burdens. 'Hours'
is an example for this label.

Mult Lbl Multiplier label can be used to
describe the measurement of the
multiplier field for 'per burden unit'
burdens. 'Employees' is an example for
this label.

Status The status of the burden. If Inactive,
it cannot be used as a burden on any
finished good template and cannot be
added to a work order as an additional
burden.

I = Inactive

Used The used flag indicates if the burden WO30.1 WO35.1
has been used as a burden on a finished WO40.1 WOEX.1
good template or work order at any time.
If it has, this burden template record
cannot be deleted.

Y = Yes
