Lawson Dimension The Lawson Dimension Name is the name GL87.1 GL88.1
Name of the Lawson defined dimension name. HC01.1 HC02.1
Instead of the User Dimension Name, this POA1.1 SAA1.1
name is assigned by the Analytic WOA1.1
Architect system and is used by the
system that provides data to the
Analytic Architect system. If a user
changes the User Dimension Name, data
sent to the data mart is unaffected.
OLD-SEQUENCE-NBR Numeric 4 AC87.1 CXA1.1
Sequence Number The user-assigned sequence number to GL87.1 GL88.1

OLD-ALIAS-NAME Alpha 80 (Lower Case)
Alias Name The Alias Name field contains an alias
name for the dimension.
OLD-DIMENSION-TYPE Alpha 1 AC87.1 CXA1.1
Dimension Type The Dimension Type field specifies the GL87.1 GL88.1
dimension owner. HC01.1 HC02.1
POA1.1 SAA1.1
Value values are: WOA1.1
L = Lawson
U = User
OLD-DIMENSION-CAT Alpha 1 AC87.1 CXA1.1
Dimension Category The Dimension Category field specifies GL87.1 GL88.1
the category to be assigned to the HC01.1 HC02.1
dimension in the outline. Choose this POA1.1 SAA1.1
category by the type of data that will WOA1.1
populate the data mart.
Dimension categories are predefined by
the data mart. Categories specify the
attributes for the dimension. These
attributes affect how the data mart
performs and stores data.
Value values are:
~ = No category
A = Accounts
C = Currency
T = Time
Y = Country
" "
OLD-DENSITY-VALUE Alpha 1 AC87.1 CXA1.1
Density Value The Density Value field specifies GL87.1 GL88.1
whether the data in the dimension is HC01.1 HC02.1
dense or sparse. In a dense data mart, a POA1.1 SAA1.1
relatively high percentage of the WOA1.1
possible combinations (intersections) of
all dimension members contain data
values. In a sparse dimension, a higher
percentage of the intersections have
missing data.
Valid values are:
D = Dense; Default value.
S = Sparse
OLD-PROTECT-REBLD Alpha 1 AC87.1 CXA1.1
Static Dimension The Static Dimension field lets you GL87.1 GL88.1
prevent this dimension from being HC01.1 HC02.1
rebuilt when the rest of the outline is POA1.1 SAA1.1
rebuilt. You can use this feature on WOA1.1
static dimensions where members are not
added, moved, or deleted on a regular
basis.
Valid values are:
Y = Yes
No = No; Default value.
OLD-DIM-BUILD-DTE Numeric 8 (yyyymmdd)
Dimension Build Date The Dimension Build Date field contains
the most recent date that this dimension
was updated in the outline. The date
format used is YYYYMMDD.
OLD-DIM-BUILD-TME Numeric 6 (hhmmss)
Dimension Build Time The Dimension Build Time field contains
the most recent time that this dimension
was updated in the outline. The time
format used is HHMMSS.
OLD-OLD-DIM-NAME Alpha 50 AC87.1 CXA1.1
Previous Dimension The Previous Dimension Name field GL87.1 GL88.1
Name contains the previous user dimension HC01.1 HC02.1
name if the name was changed. POA1.1 SAA1.1
WOA1.1
OLD-MODIFY-ALLOW Alpha 1 AC87.1 CXA1.1
Allow Modifications The Allow Modifications field GL87.1 GL88.1
determines whether modifications are HC01.1 HC02.1
allowed to the Dimension Category or POA1.1 SAA1.1
Density Value fields. Changes to the WOA1.1
Density Value field may cause data mart
size and performance issues. Changes to
the Dimension Category will require the
outline to be rebuilt.
Valid values are:
Y = Yes; Default value.
No = No
OLD-NUMBER-OF-MBRS Numeric 7
Number of Members The Number of Member field contains the
actual number of members for the
dimension in the outline.
OLD-DIM-OBJ-ID Numeric 12 AC87.1 CXA1.1
Dimension Object The Dimension Object Identifier field GL87.1 GL88.1
Identifier contains a unique numeric identifier HC01.1 HC02.1
assigned to the dimension, which POA1.1 SAA1.1
associates this record to the member WOA1.1
records.
OLD-META-PROGRAM Alpha 6 AC87.1 CXA1.1
Dimension Build The Outline Build Program field GL87.1 GL88.1
Program contains the name of the program that HC01.1 HC02.1
the Analytic Architect system calls to POA1.1 SAA1.1
supply the outline (description of the WOA1.1
data) to the data mart. This may be the
same program as the data values load
program.
OLD-META-FORMAT Alpha 1 AC87.1 CXA1.1
Dimension Build The Dimension Build Source file GL87.1 GL88.1
Source contains the value that represents the HC01.1 HC02.1
source for the dimension outline. POA1.1 SAA1.1
WOA1.1
Valid values are:
1 = Program; Default value.
2 = Rules File
3 = Manual
OLD-META-LOAD-PATH Alpha 2 AC87.1 CXA1.1
Dimension Build Path The Outline Build Path field specifies GL87.1 GL88.1
the system responsible for delivering HC01.1 HC02.1
the outline to the data mart. If IA is POA1.1 SAA1.1
specified, the outline build program WOA1.1
writes the outline to an ISAM file and
the Analytic Architect system builds the
outline using the information in this
file. If AP is selected, the outline
build program builds the outline
directly.
Valid values are:
IA = Analytic Architect system
AP = Data mart outline build program
" "
OLD-META-FILE-PATH Alpha 100 (Lower Case)
Path and File Name The Path and File Name field contains
name of the text file that contains the
data mart outline (description of the
data) for the dimension. If a dimension
build program is not specified, a text
file and a rules file are required. The
text file contains the outline and the
rules file contains the outline build
rules.
OLD-RULES-FILE Alpha 100 (Lower Case)
Rules File The Rules File field contains file name
of the rules file to be used by the data
mart. If a rules file is used, the data
source is the file specified in the Data
Source File field. The rules file is
responsible for loading the data source
file into the data mart. Both the rules
file and the data source file must be
placed in the $ARBORPATH/app/application
name/database path before using IA120
(Data Mart Load).
OLD-IA-OUTLINE-IND Alpha 1 AC87.1 CXA1.1
Retain Member List The Retain Member list field specifies GL87.1 GL88.1
the value that determines whether a list HC01.1 HC02.1
of members is retained in the Analytic POA1.1 SAA1.1
Architect system when the data mart is WOA1.1
created. This list of member names is
used during the operand mapping process
for the Performance Indicator suite.
M = Member
A = Member & Alias
N = No
