GL87.1 - Financial Analyzer Dimension Definition

Use GL87.1 (Financial Analyzer Dimension Definition) to define the dimensions
and the criteria for each  dimension in the OLAP database. You must define the
dimensions in the OLAP database before you can define the database load
profile and populate the OLAP database using the OLAP Database Load program.

You are required to define information for the first five dimensions, which
are  represented by the following form tabs: Organization, Accounts, Periods,
Fiscal Years, and Scenarios. The Type and Products dimensions are optional.

Updated Files

    GLIADIM    - This program creates and maintains the dimensions in the
                 GLIADIM data file.


    GLIAMBR    - This program creates and maintains the members in the GLIAMBR
                 data file.


    MEMBER     - Updates information about all members in the Information
                 Architecture system.


    OLAPDBM    - This program references this file to validate whether or not
                 the application type has been assigned to the OLAP database.


    OLAPDIM    - This program updates the OLAPDIM data file with the dimensions
                 that are defined.



Referenced Files

    APPLICTYPE - This program references the APPLICTYPE data file for valid
                 application types.


    CUCODES    - Used to validate base currency code information.

    GLADDRESS  - The GLADDRESS file is referenced by the Company Edit common
                 routine.


    GLCGCPY    - This program edits the Company Group detail record in the
                 GLCGCPY data file.


    GLCHART    - This program edits the Chart of Accounts field in the GLCHART
                 data file.


    GLCHARTDTL - This program uses the GLCHARTDTL data file when processing the
                 Product dimension.


    GLNAMES    - This program edits the Accounting Unit field in the GLNAMES
                 data file.


    GLSYSTEM   - This file is referenced by the Company Edit common routine.

    MXVIEWHDR  - This program edits the Matrix View field in the MXVIEWHDR data
                 file.


    RWGRPDET   - This program edits the Account Group in the RWGRPDET data file.


    RWHEADER   - This program uses the RWHEADER data file when processing the
                 Product dimension.



GL87.4 - Budgets

Use the Budget Member Names subform to define the member names for each
budget.

                 in the GLIAMBR data file.

                 record in the GLIADIM data file.



GL87.5 - Budget Variances

Use the Budget Variances subform to define the member names and calculation
method for each budget variance.

GL87.6 - Fiscal Year Variances

Use the Fiscal Years Variances form to define the member names and
calculation method for each fiscal year variance.

GL87.7 - Subaccounts

Use the Subaccounts subform to define alias member names for each subaccount.
