BN09.1 - Benefits Pay Class
Use BN09.1 (Benefits Pay Class) to define pay classes if you do not use the
Lawson Payroll system.
The Benefits system uses pay classes to determine the kind of pay used for
certain calculations and to track the number of hours for plan eligibility, as
well as for defined contribution and defined benefit plan vesting and
compensation.
See "Using Pay Classes with Benefit Plans" in the Benefits Procedures Manual
for more information on how pay structure affects benefit plans and how to set
up pay classes.

PAYCLASS - The Pay Class file is accessed by this program.
Referenced Files
PRSYSTEM - The HR Company and Process Levels file is used to verify
company information.
BN09.2 - Pay Type Relationship
Use BN09.2 (Pay Type Relationship) to define relationships between pay types
in the Benefits system if you have any of the following.
- A flex plan that lets employees keep unspent flex dollars as taxable income.
- Pay classes for defined contribution or defined benefit plans. This lets
you define which pay is included in each pay class.
- A defined contribution plan that is part of a flex plan.
Use this form only if you do not use the Lawson Payroll system.

the company.
PRPAYCODE - The Pay Code file is updated with pay code information.
PSGRELATE - The Pay Class/Pay Sum Group Relation file is updated.

to retrieve descriptions.
