PR165 - Bank Reconciliation Tape Processing
Use PR165 (Bank Reconciliation Tape Processing) to reconcile checks. The
program uses a magnetic tape provided by your bank and compares the checks
that have been cleared by the bank to the check record on PR85.1 (Bank Account
Reconciliation).
The program updates PR85.1 with the reconciliation date, the type, and the
status. If there is a discrepancy, the payment is not reconciled and a listing
shows the discrepancy.
Updated Files
CKPOINT - The Universe file used for recovery.
PRCHECK - Used to update (set to 3) the status, reconciliation date,
and reconciled amount for each payment processed. A record must
be found in this file in order to process the magnetic tape.
Referenced Files
BANKACCT - Used to validate the bank account.
